Classroom Guidelines for Heritage Language Programs
Students must be closely supervised AT ALL TIMES.
ONLY Language classes are allowed to be taught, no other classes such as Math, History, Science, etc.
Instructors must be prepared in the case of emergencies.
(i.e. "first aid" "earthquake" "fire drills" etc.)
Students/instructors must respect school property and leave the rooms tidy.
Please note: P.L.O. = please leave on D.N.E. = do not erase
DO NOT disturb anything in the classroom. If the furniture is moved, put it back.
Students MUST behave quietly, appropriately, and refrain from running in the building.
Students MUST remain in specified areas.
All parking regulations MUST be observed in the parking lots.
DO NOT loiter in the hallway area before or after your classes. Remember, other classes are meeting at the same time.
For good public relations, Heritage Language programs/instructors should show their appreciation to the public school classroom teachers whose rooms are being used.
This could include a thank-you note and a small gift at the end of a term or marking a special holiday.
