Exchange Objectives
A fantastic and unique opportunity for students in their Grade 10 and 11 year enrolled in German language courses to participate in a reciprocal academic exchange during the school year.
This exchange aims to:
1. Improve German language proficiency.
2. Promote international goodwill and understanding.
3. Supplement classroom studies with firsthand experience in another country.
Our Exchange Includes
- Accompanied International travel.
- Two BCHLA organized orientation sessions
- Approximately a 2½ month long academic exchange attending a German Secondary school and a homestay with your German partner's family.
- Approximately a 2½ month reciprocal exchange with your German partner attending your BC Secondary school and homestay your family.
- Opportunities to participate in German school-sponsored activities, often including field trips, and other extracurricular activities and events.
- The opportunity to forge a life-long friendship.
- Year-round administrative support provided by BCHLA.
