Timeline

Early February

Exchange application form must be received by BCHLA, including $700.00 programme fee.
Staggered fee payment optional.

Late April

Matching between BC and German students is completed; students in both BC and Germany receive a copy of their partner's application.
Partner's should begin and continue to correspond.

May

First orientation meeting for BC students/families who have been matched in preparation for the arrival of their German partner.
Sessions are scheduled across BC.
All participants must attend.

Late August

German Exchange partners arrive.

Late September

Initial deposit for airfare due to BCHLA travel agent, Forbes Travel International.

Late November

Balance of airfare due to BCHLA travel agent.
German students depart.

February

Second orientation session for all participating BC students/families who are departing in March - sessions are held across BC, all participants must attend.

Early March

BC students depart for Germany.

Mid May

BC students return from Germany.
Completed Evaluation Forms to be submitted within 2 weeks of return.
